Level 3 EV chargers, known as “DC fast chargers” allow for fast charging by bypassing the EVs onboard charger and charging the battery directly. In this video Ed Spears, Product Marketing Manager, discusses how DC fast chargers are the ideal solution for truck fleet operators, or applications that require charging vehicles with large batteries. This video showcases Eaton’s Green Motion DC Fast Charger product, which provides up to 150kW of charging power to the vehicle and familiarizes the viewer with the main components of the charger. Ed also demonstrates the procedures for using the HMI display and initiating and stopping a charging session.
